The SensAble Technologies PHANTOM® product line of haptic devices makes it possible for users to touch and manipulate virtual objects. You may also download the open source H3DAPI for application development and rapid prototyping to use with the Phantom Omni. SenseGraphics' open source H3DAPI supports a wide-ranging haptics devices inlcudling SenseAble's, ForceDimension's, MoogFCS' and Novint Falcon.
H3DAPI combines haptics, graphics and audio in one scene graph, allowing developers to do rapid prototyping with X3D and Python, and more advanced development with C++. The open source H3DAPI community at H3D.org offers support in the discussion forum. Alternatively, SenseGraphics also provide customized training courses in H3DAPI.
