Simball technology

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

This week we got our hands on a new device which originally was developed for the medical simulation industry. It’s kind of a laporascopic device from a company in Sweden called G-coder: www.g-coder.com . The device itself is using a camera technology to record, very precisely,  the movements of a ball (the product is called Simball) to which the actual lap device tool handle is connected.  G-coder hopes to develop its technology far beyond the medical lap-sim industry and are targeting also the rehab industry. The product will be further broadcasted at the “Visualiseringsdagarna” in Gothenburg 20-21st of April hopefully, by then, monitoring some H3DAPI content… http://www.center-of-visualization.org/index.html
