SenseGraphics H3DAPI user community is growing…

March 7th, 2010

I have recently received lots of proofs on applications beeing developed using SenseGraphics H3DAPI. Some of these consits of videos which are going to be posted on SenseGraphics H3DAPI Youtube user channel (www.youtube.com/h3dapi). First out is Dr Felix Hamza-Lop from the Armstrong Atlantic State University with a great video that shows how haptics is used for learning physics…

Visit by KTH master students

March 1st, 2010

This morning, we are happy to host a visit by KTH assoc. prof Svein Kleiven and his master students. They are taking a master course namely “Introduction to Medical Simulation”. SenseGraphics again has the honour to showcase our latest virtual-reality technology.

We at SenseGraphics understand how important a practicum internship is to a student’s master thesis (trust us, we’ve all been there). We always welcome talented and passionate master students looking for practical work on your thesis to intern with us. Just contact us with your resumé ;)

See the photos of the event below. Click on the pictures for enlarged version.

SenseGraphics introduces the HapticWall

February 4th, 2010

We have recently seen loads of new 3D visualisation technologies hitting the market, more affordable and easier to use then ever! SenseGraphics has to put together a nice package that includes everything you will need to get your work started using SenseGraphics H3DAPI, SensAble haptics and real 3D stereo visualisation.

Featuring a 30-40 inch rear projected, high quality screen and a 120 Hz short throw projector together with active shutter glasses this is the ideal entry-level solution to real 3D stereo visualisation and haptics programming. With H3DAPI you will be able to feel what you see, interact in your 3D sceene, using the included SensAble Omni haptics device.

Mastering an Iron ore Shiploader

December 28th, 2009

Mastering an iron ore shiploader could sometimes be very uncomfortable, extremely hot and dusty. Especially when you are doing it sitting in a small cabin exposed to the direct sunlight in a very warm country.

Sensegraphics H3DAPI software is currently being used in an application for “mastering” an iron ore shiploader remotely. Replacing the actual operators cabin view with a 360 degree camera (the same Google is using for taking road pictures for Google maps) the operator could now be sitting in a more comfortable room, air conditioned, safely(?) mastering the shiploader looking at a 3 meter wide doome (sphere screen).

Below is a picture on a shiploader.
