The biggest 3D display exhibition in Scandinavia???

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Wednesday 7th of May, SenseGraphics hosted, most likely one of the biggest 3D display exhibition events ever held in Scandinavia.

Full house at Open House

During the event the audience had the opportunity to get hands-on demonstration of a unique pre-production model of an active 3D stereo projector from Norwegian Projectiondesign. This new projector that is used in combination with LCD shutter glasses, delivers astonishing real 3D stereo content in 1400 x 1050 resolution. The projector was demonstrated with SenseGraphics H3DAPI which comes with “out of the box” support for projection based 3D stereo. SenseGraphics will soon start to deliver its high end Immersive Workbench (3D-LIW) with this new projector.

There were more display solutions at the event that attracted the audience. The Arisawa 24″ display which uses a polarized Xpol-filter in combination with passive stereo glasses has proven very successful for geo-science applications. The display was shown in combination with GoogleEarth and SpaceExplorer from 3DConnexion. Navigation in this environment has never been easier; flying from Manhattan, New York to the skyscraper Kista Science Tower was done with an ease! Forward, up, down and zoom in… all done with simple movements on the high tech mouse from 3DConnexion.

Planar 17″ display uses dual LCDs in combination with Planar Stereo mirror and hence able to deliver full LCD screen stereo to each eye. This display was shown together with Simball, the new 4D computer interaction tool from G-Coder.

We also had the great opportunity to watch real 3D technology without glasses. This technology was delivered by SpatialView and allowed for a 5 viewing spot screen in high resolution.

On display at the event was also traditional CRT-based 3D stereo solution from Curictus, using SenseGraphics and SensAble technology for their stroke rehabilitation (activity station) as well as Novint Falcon haptic gaming device.

SenseGraphics whishes to thank all the partners and the audience for doing this event to such a successful event and hope to see you all soon again!
